Keep trying at what you want to be the best in, until you can’t

When you love someone, you want to see them all the time. Till you get married or till things fall apart. The process of achieving success is kinda like that to...

When you love what you do, you want to get better at whatever it is that you love, you want to do what you love non stop, all the time, day and night. Keep doing it and keep working at it, till your body literally doesn’t have the energy to do it anymore. You focus on it so hard, that sometimes you forget to eat, you forget to sleep, because all you have is this adrenaline to keep going at that one thing you want to be the best at.

That’s the price of getting better. Doing what it is you want to be great at, and keep doing it, ALL THE TIME, till you see slight improvements. You will see yourself slowly improving and become motivated and you keep practicing even more, when everyone around you will look at you like you’re crazy thinking practicing one thing so much wasn’t even possible.

You literally need to work non stop at whatever you want to be successful at, until your body drops from fatigue. This is the price of becoming great. No one ever became infamous for a skill, they didn’t work relentlessly at.

Also not only do you want to do what you love all the time, to get better at it - you want to be around awesome people who are actually far better than you. How can you improve without being influenced, without seeking input, without awareness around how your behaviors, skills, actions can be refined and enhanced? How do different people practicing the same trade do it differently? What are the different results?

You need to connect with the people who know more, and learn from them. Everyone does something a little bit differently. Understand their lessons, their techniques, their practices, and slowly your behaviors, understanding, perceptions will be informed, by those who have sought and achieved success.

Energy feeds energy. If you want to be inspired, be around people who do what you aspire to do better than you and be humble. The ones who are passionate in their trade will continue to work at refining and improving their trade relentlessly, be in their presence when they practice, witness them in their ingenuity, witness human perfection, and only then will you be inspired to continue.
